Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about how the Immersh Skill Engine works for your team, your organization, and your workflow.
Getting started
Immersh is a skill platform built around active practice. It combines video lessons, assignments, and hands-on drills with AI-powered spaced repetition — so skills actually stick. Immersh covers algorithms, system design, languages, frameworks, music, and more.
Immersh is built for anyone who needs to keep their skills sharp — from engineering teams drilling algorithms and system design, to educators enhancing their lessons with interactive content, to music departments running ear training and theory practice. It serves teams, individuals, and institutions.
Most platforms serve passive content — videos, articles, quizzes. Immersh is built around active reps. Users write code, solve problems, and practice skills directly inside each drill. Everything is graded instantly. Real-time dashboards show who is sharp, who is slipping, and where the gaps are. And with the AI Drill Builder, you can generate drills from your own internal docs. See how Immersh compares.

AI powers several parts of Immersh. The AI Drill Builder turns your documents and standards into practice material automatically. Spaced repetition algorithms adapt to each user, focusing on weak spots. AI also generates interactive content alongside uploaded videos. The goal is not to replace the learning — it is to make the practice smarter.
For teams
Yes. With the AI Drill Builder, upload your internal docs, style guides, or runbooks. Our AI identifies the skills that matter and generates drills automatically. You can also build drills manually with our drag-and-drop editor — no coding required.
Immersh supports a wide range of drill types including code execution with structural analysis, algorithm challenges, system design exercises, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, matching, ordering, note identification, ear training, rhythm exercises, interactive piano and guitar, and drawing on staff notation. New drill types are added regularly based on team and institutional needs.
Every drill in Immersh is graded instantly as users work. Whether they are writing code, solving algorithms, playing notes on a piano, or identifying intervals by ear, Immersh checks their answer and gives immediate feedback. Scores are recorded automatically and can sync to your LMS gradebook.
For individuals
Yes. Immersh includes hundreds of drills for independent practice across skill domains including algorithms, system design, languages, frameworks, music theory, and more. Users can set session goals and track their progress over time.
Yes. Browsing drills, tracking progress, and managing your account all work on mobile and tablet. Drill sessions that combine video with hands-on practice are designed for desktop because they require more screen space.
Integrations
Yes. Immersh supports LTI 1.3 Advantage, which is compatible with Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L Brightspace, and all major learning management systems. Users launch Immersh directly from the LMS with no separate account creation required. Immersh has also completed a HECVAT assessment to streamline your security review process.
Yes. Immersh uses LTI Assignment and Grade Services (AGS) to automatically submit scores to your LMS gradebook. Admins can also export results as CSV.
Yes. Immersh supports SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect for SSO, and SCIM 2.0 for automated user provisioning. These integrate with identity providers like Okta, Azure AD, and Shibboleth.
Security & compliance
Immersh is designed for FERPA compliance. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, access is restricted by role, and the platform supports data export and deletion on request. Immersh collects only the minimum personal information needed to operate. All data is hosted in the United States, and Immersh will never sell or share user data with third parties. For more details, see our privacy policy.
Immersh is built to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. All interactive content, including code editors, music notation, piano, guitar, and drill interfaces, is keyboard-navigable and compatible with screen readers. A VPAT accessibility conformance report is available on request.
For employers
Immersh uses drill-based training with spaced repetition to keep skills sharp over time — not just during a single workshop. AI adapts to each team member automatically, focusing practice where it matters most. Real-time dashboards give managers visibility into skill gaps across the team.
